Sarah is CFO of OpenAI, appointed in June 2024 as the AI developer’ s first dedicated finance chief. She was previously CEO of Nextdoor and CFO of Block( formerly Square), where she guided both companies through their IPOs in 2021 and 2015, respectively. Some of her earlier roles include positions at Goldman Sachs, McKinsey and Salesforce. Born in Northern Ireland, she holds an MEng from Oxford and an MBA from Stanford, and serves on several boards including Walmart, Anthropic and Consensys.
